These shades are the real deal — authentic formerly factory installed industrial porcelain enamel light shades. There are currently three of these shades available. They were rescued from a soon-to-be razed abandoned nickel factory near Chicago. These shades lined (what is now) the outdoor corridor, later being abandoned along with everything else in the place.
As can be seen in the photos, there is a considerable amount of wear and damage to each of the shades. Mostly in the area toward the outer rim of the light. These shades are being sold on their own — meaning no light is being sold with them, they are being sold ‘as is.’ The bottom side of the shade features a solid white coloring, so as to better reflect lighting.
Each of the three available shades measures approximately 16-inches in diameter. Any of these shades would make an excellent addition to anyone who has an affinity for industrial decor or has a space that utilizes an industrial aesthetic or design style.
