Truly a once in a lifetime collectible piece of history! This gorgeously etched crystal uranium glass — yes, CRYSTAL uranium glass stemware! — is an authentic piece of glassware from an iconic and historic Chicago hotel, ‘The Blackstone.’

Built in 1908, The Blackstone Hotel, located on Michigan Avenue, is an architectural and cultural staple of downtown Chicago. The famous hotel was also used as scenery in the hugely famous Martin Scorsese film ‘The Color of Money,’ starring Paul Newman in 1986.

Any kind of glassware from the hotel is very hard to come by these days, especially glassware from the hotel’s early years; but not today! These glasses, of which there are currently (4) available for purchase, are have scroll designs similar to those seen on, for example, the Cameo Ballerina uranium glassware by Anchor Hocking. They are beautifully etched and stretch around the length of each glass, where they frame the focal point, which is etched with the words ‘THE BLACKSTONE’ in the center.

Each glass measures approximately 4.75 inches in height, with the bowl diameter measuring roughly 2 inches.

The huge cultural and historical significance of these glasses make them a rarity, alone. Finding authentic crystal stemware made with uranium is another feature that makes the opportunity to own these glasses a nearly once in a lifetime opportunity . Don’t miss the chance to add one, or all four, of these glasses to your collection!
