Lovers of Depression Glass, this one is for you! This vintage (nearly antique) lidded jar was made by the well-known class company Fenton sometime in the 1930’s. The jar was manufactured with custard glass, which is a mixture of uranium glass & milk glass. This combination is what gives the jar its satin (AKA matte) textured finish. Because the piece was made with uranium, it is obviously UV reactive, allowing it to glow when exposed to black light. The jar is also embossed with a very ornate floral design, which is bordered by another equally ornate scroll design. This piece will make a perfect addition to any collection of UV reactive glass!
