This unbelievable from "The Semi-Weekly New Era" published in Lancaster, PA, reporting on the Titanic disaster. The headline reads: "More Than 1,300 Lives Lost as the Liner Titanic Sank." The article mentions that the Cunard Liner Carpathia picked up over 800 survivors and is heading to New York. It also notes that other ships, the Virginian and Parisian, arrived too late to be of assistance.
The article is from April 17th, 1912 - only two days after the magnificent ocean liner took her final dive into the cold, dark Atlantic Ocean at 2:24am on April 15, 1912.
Original R.M.S. Titanic memorabilia is exceedingly rare and very hard to come by. While 99% of listings one can find about the doomed liner are replicas, and some of them very good replicas, this one here is authentic. Amateur historians & enthusiasts who follow Titanic will not want to miss what could be a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a genuine historical record of the ship, which will surely only increase in value with the passage of time.
