This beautiful piece of glass was manufactured by Jeanette Glass Company, a well-known maker of Depression glass. This footed pitcher features one of Jeannette Glass Company’s most famous patterns, 'Diamond Point.’ The distinctive coloring of this piece of glass is a type of two-toned glassware called Amberina, which has been made since the 1880’s. It’s UV reactive, meaning it glows when placed under black light. As seen in the photos, this footed pitcher glows beautifully with black light!

About the Glassmaker:

Jeannette Glass Company began making glass out of Jeannette, Pennsylvania in the late 1880’s. A staple of vintage and Depression-era glassware, Jeannette Glass made a variety of different glassware types & colors, including green uranium glass, jadeite, pink Depression glass, and ultramarine glass. They also introduced some of the most well-known patterns among Depression-era glassware collectors, such as Swirl, Hex Optic, Windsor, and Iris & Herringbone. Jeannette Glass finally closed its doors for good in 1983, after almost 100 years.
